The plan for today is to do everything I can to make our Christmas Day a good one.
Our day will be spent with a small part of my family, including the youngest great niece, and is part of the build up to a larger gathering at home on New Years Day.
I wish all of you a very merry Christmas, and hope your day is a great one.

These designs have a very lacy look, which is why they got the title from Aunty Flo, as she did a lot of tatting.

Love the first design! The colours are great, the quilting is great … etc.
The border could perhaps be more ornate, but our bedroom is rather small and so the border is not really visible so a plain border would be fine in that room.

Love the second design too and the quilting would look great in white thread on the dark red.

I need more strings of beads to drape around a Christmas tree! Great replacement for tinsel.

I much prefer applique to piecing, but even I could be tempted to make something like these.
Wonder if I could find a bright red with green and white tartan fabric!
